About Urban Jungle
Urban Jungle is a full service vertical landscaping company whose mission is to bring nature to the urban environment by taking advantage of the blank canvas, i.e. the brick and mortar fronts of most urban dwellings. Urban Jungle has a staff of artisans and architects that specialize in creating dynamic, flowing natural gardens on vertical surfaces. We take advantage of this space and add nature's beauty to enhance its otherwise drab appearance.
Urban Jungle’s President, Curt Alexander grew up on a vineyard in California, which fostered his love of horticulture. He honed his engineering design skills and earned his mechanical engineering degree at the United States Military Academy at West Point. This unique combination of education and experience coalesced during his time living in Philadelphia, where he began to cultivate the idea of maximizing the use of vertical spaces by creating lush urban gardens. This brought about the creation of Urban Jungle’s unique and convenient High-Tech Drip Irrigation Systems with Automatic Timers for the ultimate in convenience and plant care. Urban Jungle longs to bring a cool vibe to the city, while continuing to stress the importance of decreasing CO2 emissions. By adding green, sustainable features to vertical sufaces, Urban Jungle has been able to create projects with dynamic visual impact, which can also be sensed emotionally. When flowing water features are added to their projects the natural combination has a calming effect on the audience.

I purchased a home that had two small window boxes on the lower level of the house.
